You can wash merino, camel wool, and alpaca in a washing machine on the wool/hand/delicate cycle, but also keeping the temperature around 20 degrees. Then allow the knitted item to dry on a laid-out towel.
If necessary, the knitted item can be easily ironed or steamed, where the set temperature is intended for wool clothing. A steam brush is also ideal for this purpose.
